Machine Design is one of the foundation courses in Mechanical Engineering. It involves analysis of stresses and deflections of machine elements subjected to various types of loadings. It also includes the process of identifying, analyzing and deciding what suitable material, size and form to be used for specific application. After which, we implement and test the design to analyze further some possible ources of failure that may occur before offering the product for public use.
