Psychrometry

Psychrometry is the study of atmospheric humidity. The presence of water vapour or moisture in the atmospheric air is called humidity of air. Hence, psychrometry is the study of moist air. The presence of moisture in the air can have a profound effect in human comfort.

Air Conditioning Processes

The psychrormetric chart provides numerical data regarding mixture of air and water vapour. In addition, it also provides diagram that can be used to visualize various psychrometric processes. The change of state of moist air is referred to as psychrometric processes.

Thermal Dryers

Types of Dryers

Drying commonly describes the process of thermally removing volatile substances (moisture) to yield a solid product.

Cooling Tower

Evaporation is the key to the successful operation of Cooling Towers. The evaporation that occurs when air and water are in contact is caused by difference in pressure of water vapor at the surface of water and in the air. These vapor pressures are functions of the water temperature and the degree of saturation of the air, respectively.
